From the desk of Father John.... My dear Parishioners and Readers,
I pray that you all celebrated a Blessed and holy Christmas. May the Prince of Peace abide with you and all your loved ones.
Now that the New Year is upon us, may our most important resolutions be that we draw ourselves closer to God in 2012. I pray that we ALL can achieve this by attending the Divine Liturgy every Sunday and Holydays of obligation.
We should also honor God by participating in our Parish services, activities and other aspects of parish life. Many of our elderly parishioners who are unable to attend Liturgical services would welcome our prayers and a call or visit from us. People can also become involved by continuing their support to our “food for the poor” program.
We are also in need of new volunteers for our kitchen and hall in order to continue our beautiful customs and traditions such as our Easter Dinner, Malanka, Holy Supper, parish Festival and Pirhoy making projects among others. Without your involvement these customs and traditions may be lost. (I pray that this does not happen).
Our Parish will grow and prosper and be blessed if we have the total cooperation and participation of all capable members.
Sincerely yours in Christ, Father John.....
